X-Ray Named Most Important Modern Invention in Museum Poll

A recent poll conducted by the Science Museum in London named the
x-ray machine as the most important modern scientific invention.
The poll, marking the museums centenary, was conducted both
online and in the museum. Of the nearly 50,000 people who voted
on a short list of ten discoveries or inventions having the
biggest impact, nearly 9,500 people chose the x-ray
machine.
