Carestream Health Announces Recent U.S. Orders For Its Flexible Digital Imaging Solutions

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Oct. 29 — Carestream Health, Inc., announced brisk sales for its digital medical imaging solutions that include mobile, tabletop and computed radiography systems, as well as versatile digital radiography systems.

“While we are known for offering flexible and reliable digital imaging platforms, our customers tell us that our software tools really set us apart from the rest of the market,” said Diana L. Nole, President, Digital Medical Solutions, Carestream Health. “Our latest CR operating software, for example, provides automatic image rendering that eliminates the need for technologists to identify each exam projection and allows users to create customized settings for image presentation.”

Carestream Health recently announced the industry’s first wireless, cassette-sized DR detector. The CARESTREAM DRX-1 System, currently a work in progress, is expected to be available in many parts of the world during the first quarter of 2009. Its cassette-size detector provides a rapid, affordable conversion for users of radiographic film or computed radiography systems. It requires no modifications to existing analog equipment—which results in very low installation costs.
