Radiological (X-Ray) Technologists Serving in Afghanistan Honored by Their National Professional Association

During the annual conference of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT), the President's Award was conferred to radiological technologists, both civilian and members of the Canadian Armed Forces who have served, are currently serving or will be deployed to serve in Afghanistan.

The CAMRT President's Award is selected by the President to recognize outstanding services to the profession or the Association. It is usually conferred to an individual or a group of individuals who have been of great assistance to the President, to the association or to the profession. Melanie Hilkewich, 2007 President of the CAMRT, chose to recognize these individuals who, in the performance of their daily duties, are an inspiration to members of their profession and their professional association.
